About Claudia Cohen
Claudia Cohen was born on December 16, 1950 in Englewood, New Jersey to Harriet & Robert Cohen, the founder and president of the Hudson News Company, a major distributor of newspapers and magazines.

Claudia earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Pennsylvania where she was the first woman appointed managing editor of “The Daily Pennsylvanian”, the Ivy League’s most honored newspaper. After graduation she became managing editor of “More”, the often-quoted review of journalism, a job which first brought national attention to her work. She joined the New York Post in 1977 and served as the editor, from 1978 to 1980, of the influential column “Page Six”.  She later joined the New York Daily News, where she wrote the daily column, “I Claudia”.

She then expanded her talents into broadcasting becoming the entertainment reporter for ABC’s “Regis & Kathy Lee”.  Her assignments regularly included covering such events as the Cannes Film Festival, the Oscars, the Emmys & the Grammy Awards.

Claudia served as a trustee of the School of Art & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, and as a member of the Medical Center Advisory Board of the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was also active in raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Associate, which honored her as Woman of the Year in 2000.

Claudia lost her valiant 7-year battle with Uterine Leiomyosarcoma on June 15th, 2007.
